Dehydration

Symptoms of dehydration in adults

  • Feeling thirsty

  • Dry or sticky mouth

  • Urinating and sweating less than usual

  • Darker yellow colored urine

  • Dry skin

  • Feeling tired

  • Dizziness

  • Headache

  • Muscle cramps

  • Dry, cool skin

  • Skin that is not as "elastic as normal"


Get medical help if you have an of these symptoms:

  • Confusion

  • Fainting

  • Lack of urination

  • Rapid heartbeat

  • Rapid breathing

  • Shock


Dehydration Prevention

Drink more when you are exercising or when the weather is hot

Avoid sugary and caffeinated drinks
