It’s the time of year that the garden is bountiful with produce, and available in grocery stores and farmer’s markets. I’ve put together a list of links to preservation techniques for some of those fruits and vegetable that you tend to have more than you need, or your neighbor dropped off at your doorstep.

Workshop opportunity
A workshop to explore the ways depression may discourage those with a faith tradition and how various spiritual practices can help individuals cope with symptoms of depression.
Can Spirituality Help One Cope With Depression? with Elliot Smith an ordained minister and manager at the Spiritual Center department at the Kettering Main Hospital. He has a Master of Arts in Theology and a Masters in Social Work and an experienced therapist.

During the talk he gives a great explanation of holistic wellness and guide you through a guided meditation. He is both knowledgeable and comical. The Extension Service was established in 1914 and was primary an organization to provide information about agricultural research and encourage farming methods. Each country of all 50 states had a local extension office. Today there are approximately 2900 centers.
